Biography   Night Owls is a studio band hailing from Canada's heartland in the province of Manitoba. What makes this bird fly are the uplifting songs and lyrics of Pete Hildebrand, the streamlined and sublime strings of Dave Hildebrand on guitars, and the powerful and pulsating rhythms of Terence Hoorman and Frank Basile on drums.

Recording and performing since 1990 under various band names, including "The Clones" and "StandFast", Pete Hildebrand is the driving force behind Night Owls. Early EP's and albums produced fan favorite songs such as "Restless Man" and "Treasure in the Sky." And the popular "Angel of Siberia," a moving song depicting the real life story of Elsa Brändström, a woman who left the luxury of diplomatic life to become a nurse tending to thousands of P.O.W. soldiers and their orphans during World War II.

It wasn't until the 1995 CD "Ghost Train" that Night Owls found their true voice with a strong collection of pop songs, striking the right balance between craft and spirit. This spawned more fan hits such as "Lift Me Up", "Ghost Train", "Love's Road" and the inspirational "Light of the World." This was followed by the well-received "Greatest Victory" CD and the hit songs "Beacon in the Night" and "Greatest Victory."

Music is the language of the spirit. We hope it speaks to you in some way through our songs.

Enjoy!
