Night Owls | Biography
Night Owls hail from Canada's heartland in the province of Manitoba. What makes this bird fly are the uplifting lyrics and melodies of Pete Hildebrand on vocals/guitars/synths, the powerful and pulsating rhythms of Frank Basile and Milos Delic on drums/percussion, as well as the occasional sightings from rare talents such as Dave Hildebrand on guitars, Hal Epp on keyboards and other featured feathered friends.
Recording and performing since 1990 under various band names including "The Clones" and "StandFast", Pete Hildebrand is the driving force behind Night Owls. Early albums produced fan favorites such as "Restless Man" and "Treasure in the Sky" and the popular "Angel of Siberia."
It wasn't until the 1995 album "Ghost Train" that Night Owls found their true voice with a strong collection of rock/pop songs, striking a perfect balance between craft and spirit. This spawned more fan hits such as "Lift Me Up", "Ghost Train", "Love's Road" and the inspirational "Light of the World." That was followed up by the well-received "Greatest Victory" album and the hit songs "Beacon in the Night" and "Greatest Victory."
The album "Soar" ushered in a more modernized direction for the band as well as a blending of sounds from the past that fans know and love. With the most recent album, "Equilibrium" strives for a bigger rock sound and is a natural continuation of where the previous journey left off.
Enjoy your flight!
